This is a wonderful bias cut, hand screened silk chiffon flapper dress and soft draped capelet jacket, whose overall effect is soft and romantic - almost dreamy! The piecework and seaming to create the inset where the skirt joins the bodice is particularly wonderful - it is perfectly crossed and angled seams where the panels are inserted to create the shape - an extraordinarily hard thing to do with such a fine fabric! A simple sleeveless bodice tops the almost weightless paneled skirting and a soft jacket with full sleeves and caping tops that. The entire dress floats and moves with the barest of movement on your part. The edges are rolled and cross stitched. It is extraordinarily lovely and still strong and wearable with care. These where meant to float over a smaller frame so keep that in mind. A truly beautiful dress and it has its original rhinestone clasp belt as well. Excellent condition!

Unlined and slips over the head. Has its original fabric belt with a jeweled clasp. Hand rolled edges and hand finished. It is in what I would consider excellent shape with no real flaws to note. The judy it is on is a size 6. Please remember that pieces of this age will have a natural patina and should not be expected to be absolutely perfect (though this is close)! It is after all almost 100 years old!
